Okay, I know I normally bring you something free or nearly free and often education related for my Web Wow Wednesday posts. Well, today I want to bring you something a little different. In my quest for healthier eating for my family, one method I stumbled upon was bento box meals.
LOVE this idea and can really see the appeal it would have for kids. But then I started pricing bento boxes.....WOW! Even if I tried to buy small plasticware pieces cheaply and separately, it was going to be at least $20 per kid and that wouldn't include a container for carrying! I know for some people that wouldn't seem like much but I know how my kids lose things and care (don't) for things and I wasn't about to put out that kind of money for a lunch system that would just end up lost or in the trash. So I started looking around for something better. One incredible blog I found along the way is Muffin Tin Mom. You will love her ideas and her lunch pictures are always so cute and inspiring!
Then I found EasyLunchBoxes.com. Yes, I've told you about them in a previous post about giveaways for their products. But they are so worth talking about again. Thanks to having some discount certificates through Jasmere.com, I finally ordered my sets from EasyLunchBoxes and they came via UPS on Monday. If it's possible, I'm even more impressed! The plastic in the pics looks similar to the somewhat flimsy plastic used in those throwaway plasticware containers but instead it's some of the most durable plastic I've seen in reusuable storage containers! They are perfect in size and my kids absolutely love the colors! We bought canvas cooler lunch bags last year so I didn't need to buy those from EasyLunchBoxes. Those cost $8 each (same as ELB but with a few more features). The plasticware from ELB cost $13.95 for a set of four or about $3.49 each which brings each system (bag + one plasticware box) to $11.49! Not too bad!!! I hope that next year as the kids and I get more and more used to using the system, I'll have some really inspiring pictures to show you kinda like Muffin Tin Mom (although I know I'll never equal her greatness! Lol!)
***NOTE*** This post is a personal endorsement purely because I think this is a useful, practical, affordable, and all-around terrific product! I have received no compensation from EasyLunchBoxes.com for this post.

I have been loving the Easy Lunchboxes too! Thanks for posting - it's great when you don't have time to make a whole creative bento, but you want to give your kids a fun lunch.
